Shannon Clarke is a New York based lighting designer for theatre and dance. She was born and raised in San Diego, CA where she got her passion for the arts from her grandparents. They were performers and choreographers and took her to see many shows throughout her childhood.

She traded in sunny beaches for snowy winters to pursue her BFA in lighting design from Boston University. She has designed for theatre and dance companies across the country. Additionally, she has worked as an associate designer on Broadway and has supervised domestic dance tours.

When not in a theatre or on the road Shannon likes to spend as much time outdoors as possible. That usually entails hiking in the summer and ice skating in the winter. She loves being able to escape New York winters to visit her family in southern California for the holidays.
